Women at the Well
We host Women at the Well conferences that bring together women from our church and the local community. These conferences are designed to provide a platform for women to come together, connect, and share their faith journeys. The events feature leading guest women ministers who deliver impactful and uplifting messages, addressing a wide range of topics relevant to women's lives, such as personal growth, relationships, spirituality, and empowerment. Additionally, the conferences offer various workshops, group discussions, and networking opportunities, creating a supportive and nurturing environment for women to grow in their faith and personal development. Our ultimate aim is to foster a community where women can find inspiration, encouragement, and spiritual nourishment, empowering them to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.
Marriage Ministry
Marriage retreats are a wonderful opportunity for couples to come together and focus on their relationship. These retreats often provide a peaceful and relaxing environment where couples can reconnect and strengthen their bond. They offer a chance to step away from the stresses of everyday life and focus on each other, with the guidance of our experienced counselor and therapist. The retreats typically include workshops, activities, and discussions designed to help couples communicate better, resolve conflicts, and deepen their emotional connection. Overall, our marriage retreats are a valuable investment in a couple's relationship, providing them with the tools and insights they need to build a strong and lasting partnership.
"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Apologetics
Wisdom Apologetics is our dynamic and engaging apologetics outreach ministry that is dedicated to defending the Christian faith and equipping believers to engage with the tough questions and objections to Christianity. Led by our resident apologist, Prince Nwankudu, the ministry provides resources, training, and events that help Christians to understand and articulate their faith in a compelling and winsome manner.
Through a combination of speaking engagements, online content, and one-on-one interactions, Wisdom Apologetics has made a significant impact in helping Christians to navigate the complexities of our modern world and to stand firm in their faith. Our commitment to excellence, passion for truth, and heart for people make this ministry a valuable resource for anyone seeking to engage with the tough questions about Christianity.
Education Department
On Sunday mornings we host Word and Breakfast, a gathering where we discuss topics related to our faith while enjoying a delicious meal. This event is open to all members of the church and community, offering a chance to learn, connect, and grow together. It's a key part of our education department, providing a unique way to deepen our understanding of the Bible and build relationships within our local church community. We are temporarily on hiatus but keep your eyes out for when we resume. We hope to see you there!
"Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart." Psalm 119:33-34
Revival & Outreach
At God's Family Church, we are passionate about holding revival meetings to inspire and rejuvenate our congregation. We often invite guest ministers from around the country and even from around the world to lead these meetings. These ministers bring a fresh perspective and a powerful message that resonates with our members. The revival meetings are a time for spiritual renewal, deepening our faith, and experiencing the presence of God in a profound way. We believe that these meetings are essential for the growth and vitality of our church, and we are always excited to see the impact they have on our community.
"Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?" Psalm 85:6
Missions
God's Family Church is deeply committed to missions. Whether it's in the far reaches of Alaska, the lower 48 United States, or globally, we believe in making a positive impact on the world from providing essential services to remote communities in Alaska to supporting global initiatives that promote education, healthcare, and economic development. Our mission-minded approach drives everything we do, and we are dedicated to making a difference wherever we go.
"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
Prayer and Intercession
Prayer and intercession are vital components of our church's spiritual life. Through prayer, we connect with God, seek His guidance, and express our gratitude and needs. Intercession, in particular, allows us to stand in the gap for others, lifting up their concerns and needs to God. This act of selfless prayer not only benefits those we intercede for but also strengthens the bond of love and unity within our church community. As we come together in prayer and intercession, we invite the presence and power of God to work in our midst, bringing about transformation, healing, and revival. We have a dedicated team of intercessors who fervently pray for our church, our nation, and the world, seeking God's guidance and intervention in all areas of life. Prayer and intercession are essential practices that underpin the spiritual vitality and growth of our church. Through it, we have seen mountains move, lives changed, people healed, and many set free!
Community Service
Our food pantry is a vital resource for our community, providing essential food items to those in need. We strive to offer a wide variety of nutritious and high-quality food to ensure that everyone has access to healthy meals. Our dedicated team of volunteers works tirelessly to organize and distribute the food, and we are grateful for the generous donations from our community that make this possible. We are committed to fighting hunger and food insecurity, and our food pantry is a crucial part of that mission.
"And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. Then that food shall be as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine." Genesis 41:35-36
Hospitality
Our hospitality team is always ready and present to greet everyone at the door with a warm smile and a friendly welcome. They serve the church with their fine culinary skills, preparing delicious meals and refreshments for various events and gatherings. Their dedication and willingness to help everyone, both members and visitors, feel welcomed and at home is truly commendable. Whether it's a Sunday service, a special event, or a casual gathering, our hospitality team goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels valued and cared for. Their commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere is a vital part of our church community.
"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality." Romans 12:9-13
